Kevi Morse is a singer and songwriter based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he is currently on two tours at once: the “Floored Tour” tour and the “GST Tour” Morse is also a part of RemedyLIVE, RemedyLIVE is meant to spread awareness around mental health and combat stigmas.
Morse’s main goal is to inspire people to help them find their purpose.
Morse started his set with “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus to get the crowd feeling more at ease. The crowd seemed to be engaged with swaying hands and many singing along and standing up. After the song Morse started talking about his upbringings and about who he was as a person. Morse said he is a ghost writer for artists like Luke Combs and Jelly Roll, He identifies as a hip hop artist and a DJ. Sophomore Zoey Angelico said, “He was my favorite act, I felt so inspired and uplifted by his words.”
Morse was very motivational and wanted to get his point across that everyone has a purpose in life. He wanted to create a space where everyone could be heard and seen. Morse rapped about his hardships but being able to come out of it. Morse was asked a question by an audience member “What was your I made it moment?” Morse said, “I made it” moment?” was when my grandma broke down crying when I got nominated for the Grammys.”
