Do you live in a noisy home or just need a change of scenery? if so, using a coffee shop to study sounds like the perfect place to be productive.
Being productive during this time I know can be a struggle for many, the weather is getting nicer and summer break is here. Before we can enjoy these things, we must make it through the end of the year. AP testing and finals are coming up, and coffee shops are the perfect environment to study.
Coffee shops offer a unique Zen place to get work done, while there you can get a drink or a pastry as a study snack. To help you study, listening to music is a great tool to block out any excess noise. In coffee shops there is nothing to distract from working.
Many students also like to do study groups at coffee shops to hold one another accountable for doing work. Sophomore Evelyn Andree said, “I love coffee, coffee shops help me focus because of the calm atmosphere and amazing smell.”
Sophomore Keira Duffy said her Starbucks order is, “Strawberry acai with light ice and mango cold foam.” She said she likes coffee shops because, “it’s quiet and free Wi-Fi.” Sopomore Jordyn Scheive said, “her favorite coffee shop is Starbucks.”
Unlike being at home or school, there are reduced distractions. Also, being around others who are also working helps have a productive feeling.
Being around others encourages you to keep working rather than not.
Coffee shop seating also creates a comfortable and cozy environment. Most coffee shops have comfortable chairs that can help with the homey mood without being at home.
