Ashlee Haze is a poet from Atlanta, Georga who talks about breakups, sad times and the joys of life. She has written two poetry books, “The Land of the Living” (2015) and “Smoke” (2020). She is working on her third, called “KIERA”. Haze started writing when she was 10 and by the age of 15, she was regularly performing. Sophomore Ava Morones said, “She expressed a lot of life lessons to us and helped us overcome hardships and did it in a way we could still laugh and enjoy it.” Haze has won many poetry conference awards such as V-103s “Got Word” and coached slam poetry. Haze taught the students how you would act at a poetry conference by snapping when you liked something.
