The auditorium falls silent, every seat facing forward as the stage lights glow overhead as junior Mickey Tobias stands at center stage, singing to a small audience of Fine Arts Club members seated in the theater. Tobias hopes to sing during the Fine Arts Festival, so this performance is important. The stage lights shine while familiar faces watch from the seats. Earlier, Tobias had worried about performing in front of the group. “I was really nervous about getting up there, but looking at my friends’ familiar faces in the audience helped immensely,” Tobias said. Now, the moment feels less intimidating and more like a shared experience among friends.
