Graduation is near. With all these different pathways, seniors must find their way and their paths in life. Now is the time seniors get to choose the life they want and to find out what’s going to help with that.
Senior Sam Halterman who is going to Suffolk University said, “I’m majoring in political science because of my AP Gov. class sophomore year with Mrs. Cronkright.” Teachers, friends and classes can all influence what you do with your life, and it all comes down to what you’re passionate about and what you can succeed at. There are many different ways you can go after high school.
Senior Jacob Armstrong, who will be attending Milliken University, said, “I’m going to play golf and study exercise science.” Armstrong said, “My mom is a physical therapist, so I’m already around it, and also I think it’s really cool finding out how the body works.” Sports can play a big part in college like it does for Armstrong, for scholarships or to just have fun.
Senior Luke Passwater, who is going to Washington University, said, “I’m majoring in graphic design. I’ve done art my whole life, and when I took the digital art and design class with Oleson, that finalized my decision.” Passwater is following his dream that he has had since he was a child.
It’s hard to move on from high school, leave your teachers, friends and maybe even your town. Senior Korbin Cepaitis who is going to work after high school continuing at Goodwill, said, “I’m really going to miss the socializing every day and just seeing everyone.” The community at school is going to be hard to leave behind for many of the seniors, but it will all help them grow.
Some students find their passion and future career through their life experiences, Senior Robert Murphy said, “I’m going to major in neuroscience on a premed track.” Murphy got into neuroscience because his grandfather has Parkinson’s disease and he wants to learn to cure it for him and everyone suffering with it. There are so many things to do with life, and the 2026 seniors are not wasting it; there is something for everyone out there, so go find what’s for you and enjoy it.
