Test season is in the air. With everyone stressing for IVCC testing and the ACT, there’s not much time left. Having to prepare for tests is stressful, especially while dealing with school and hobbies at the same time.
Junior Eugenia Craig said, “I am very nervous about it, and I’m in ACT prep on Thursdays during pep, and I’m also just like reading a lot.” There are a few ways to study for the ACT, and the prep pep can help with that. Junior Dreager Duncan said That he is taking the ACT class and it helped him a lot with math and science.
IVCC placement testing is also happening right now. Sophomore Connor Grey who took the math test said he was stressed and “to cope I’m gonna go home and play games and just try to prepare the best I can” You need to take the test if your taking advanced chemistry or if you’re a senior taking Advanced comp one.
If IVCC and the ACT tests aren’t enough for you, there’s also the AP exams. The last quarter just started, so that means finals are coming up that everyone will need to start preparing for in just a few more weeks.
Sophomore Jordyn Scheive, who is currently in AP government, said, “I am very stressed and will study for like a week or more and remember that grades don’t define me.”
Many students have to take an AP exam, and it can be pretty stressful, along with everything else that may be on your plate. You need to have ways to study and cope with stress from tests, so, take advantage of groups in school and studying with your friends. The ACT will be taken on April 16, AP tests will be given in early May, and finals are May 14,15, and 18.
