“If you want to do dance, just go for it and you might fall in love with it.” is advice sophomore Michaela Flashing gave to anyone who wants to dance.
Flashing has been dancing at Adagio since she was two and a half years old. Her mom signed her up one day and has fallen in love since then. She does almost every single dance category, but her favorite is lyrical. Lyrical allows her to express herself and tell stories while she’s doing what she loves.
Flashing is also on the Poms Team. It was very challenging to get there, but in the end she did it. “It was pretty nerve wracking at first, but after I made the team, it was all okay and now it has become my second home. “Her favorite memory from Poms was when they all went to IHSA state. “It was great. They had such a fun arena and overall, it was a fun day.”
Sophomore Sophia Hart dances with Flashing at Adagio and is on the Poms team with her. Hart said, “I love Michaela so much, she’s super outgoing, knows how to make people laugh, an amazing dancer and overall has a great personality.”
