Print making was new to me, and this is one of the pieces that can be interpreted with meaning in different ways with different eyes,” Leonn said.

Hard work payed off. Cooper plays her hardest at the LaSalle-Peru Tournament and wins second place. After playing since kindergarten, she has poured blood sweat and tears into her practices. “When I was wearing that medal, I was beaming ear to ear Because I was so happy,” Cooper said. Maddie Kerestes is senior and editor of the Pirate Press. She also dances on the Pirate Poms and outside of school at Adagio School of the Performing Arts. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and crafting. After high school she plans to attend a four-year university and major in political science.
