Parting is such sweet sorrow. The senior football team members, poms and cheerleaders line up to be recognized for their efforts. When their names were called, seniors and their parents walked onto the football field before the last game of the season.
Seniors were met with gifts from their friends on the team. Teammates cried when handing off flowers, cards and goodie bags.
Emotions were at a high. Senior cheerleader Karley Herman was particularly moved. “It really hit me that it would be my last time cheering on King Field,” Herman said.
With the lovely weather, the night made for a perfect senior night. Senior pom Kaylee Monroe said, “The community and support from our student section surpassed what I thought it would.” Parting is sorrow, but we are grateful for all the hard work and dedication of all the teams.
