Key Club is the perfect club for any student who is interested in volunteering, helping others and serving the community.
Key Club is a student-led group that helps not only our community but also the world. Key Club meetings happen every Tuesday at 7:20 in Room 420. Some upcoming events this semester include volunteering at Kiwanis, trick-or-treat for UNICEF, Key Club week, Giving November and the Children’s Christmas party, along with additional volunteering at community events.
Key Club sponsor Holly Hall recalls her personal favorite moments with the club. “I have really enjoyed Key Club socials within the club and within the community. We volunteered at an ice cream social at Pleasant View, and that was very fun. One of my favorite memories is when the club had a social gathering and kickball game,” Hall said.
Secretary Jonathan Neu has been a member of Key Club since his freshman year. “I like Key Club because it gives me the opportunity to help others. And we had a tasty pizza party,” Neu said. Not only is the club good for the community, but it can also be fun.
Third-year member and current Treasurer Zulee Moreland has high hopes for the club’s future. “Hopefully, Key Club can gain more traction because even one small deed can make a world of differences,” Moreland said. Key Club has opened her eyes to opportunities in the community and world.
If you’re ready to make a change and meet new people along the way, Key Club may be for you.
